We are seeking new team members as Business Analysts to join our growing Services Sales team who are passionate about logistics, technology and delivering solutions that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to deploy Logistyx Transportation Management Execution (TME) that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Practice Leader, Services Sales, this individual will be chartered with developing executable and comprehensive estimates for the TME1 and TME2 project change requests from our customer base.
- Provide accurate and timely drafting of quotes and change requests through needs assessments, detailed analysis and customer interviews for existing and well as new customers’ projects.
- As required, act as the on-site support resource – potentially in both the sales cycle and on key implementations.
- Interface effectively on task statuses, action requests, and other matters relating to project license and implementation effort requirements.
- Work closely with business and subject matter experts to gather, understand and document business and technical requirements.
- Understand the needs of multiple stakeholders, define license, service, and operational suggestions to meet those needs.
- Execute customer workshops with Services Sales team, including requirements gathering, workflows, solution design and deliverables documenting for Logistyx software project installations.
- Identify current and future-state business processes, including gap analyses.
- Recognize new opportunities for Logistyx products and services to add value not previously identified.
- Create, analyze and validate detailed functional and system requirements and draft Logistyx project documentation, including business requirement specifications.
- Determine from business representatives the relative priority of requirements
- Educate customers on Logistyx products and capabilities throughout the implementation process.
- Maintain high degree of knowledge to stay current with product and technology changes through consultation with engineering, sales, professional services and support.
- Provide technical sales assistance for sales team as required.
- Execute troubleshooting when required both during project rollout as well as immediately post go live.
- Assist with quality assurance testing pertaining to project delivery.
- Conduct and assist with training to customers on Logistyx software products, both pre and post installation as required.
- Guide customers as necessary on how to retrieve details necessary in the process of Requirements Gathering.
Requirements
- Demonstrated decision-making ability towards solving complex problems through an analytical approach involving developing options, evaluating and weighing risks and choosing a best option based upon good understanding of the facts.
- Experience in a business analyst role, capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process.
- Experience in technology consulting, industry-specific enterprise and solutions business application installations (ERP, WMS).
- Strong functional and business process knowledge of the Logistics and Supply Chain industry, as well as experience with logistics, transportation and shipping software preferred.
- Experience with structured deployment approaches and software implementation methodologies.
- Strong organization and detail-oriented approach to installation, troubleshooting, and configuration experience of industry-specific business applications.
- Experience working with major logistics and software products in a production environment.
- Good knowledge on SQL, whether Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle a must.
- Strong knowledge on Windows software environments.
- Functional understanding of software capabilities and their value proposition
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work as part of a team while performing strongly without constant supervision.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet installation project objectives is necessary.
- Willingness to provide additional effort in the face of aggressive or tight deadlines.
- Excellent working knowledge of collaboration and productivity tools, including email, Microsoft Office applications, Visio and Project.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel periodically as required for project delivery.
- Ability to apply software products and services to meet a business or operational need.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field required. Master’s degree in same fields a plus.
