Project Manager

(Location: Hoofddorp, Netherlands)

We are seeking new team members as project managers to join our growing team who are passionate about logistics, technology and delivering solutions that customers love. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to deploy Logistyx transportation execution systems (TES) that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the end-to-end implementation process of Logistyx products by consulting with, carefully managing and bringing all key implementation resources together to properly deploy the entire installation on schedule, under budget and at the highest standards of service.
  • Be the main contact for project delivery for both the customer, Logistyx team and stakeholders. As required, act as the on-site support resource or project lead.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, budgets, schedules and task lists to the satisfaction of customers and Logistyx stakeholders.
  • Interface effectively on project statuses, action request and other matters with customers and all Logistyx project stakeholders.
  • Assist with training and user education to customers on Logistyx products.
  • Maintain high degree of knowledge to stay current with product and technology changes through consultation with engineering, sales, professional services and support.
  • Manage all necessary project delivery paperwork, including specifications, acceptance documentation, travel itineraries, trip reports, activity reports, expense reports and service reports, as required, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all necessary data capture and information sharing for project is occurring.
  • Perform ongoing review of project effort versus plan, coordinating with accounting for timely and accurate project billings.
  • Hold recurring conference calls with project team and remain in close contact throughout delivery.
  • Manage troubleshooting when required both during project rollout as well as immediately post go live.
  • Keep all stakeholders involved in the implementation process up to date with the project timelines, risks and goals.
  • Clearly identify any risks or issues to the projects in order to ensure success.
  • Keep up to date with technology and system updates and enhancements to ensure Logistyx’ standards are followed.
  • Actively seek ways to improve, align and enhance the implementation processes based on customer feedback, technology developments, and team feedback.
  • Keep the project tracking information within Logistyx up to date.
  • Manage resource availability from other sources when required.
  • Provide leadership and effectively manage the performance of direct reports.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the logistics and supply chain industry, as well as logistics, transportation and shipping systems.
  • Demonstrated decision-making ability towards solving complex problems through an analytical approach involving developing options, evaluating and weighing risks and choosing a best option based upon good understanding of the facts.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process
  • Effectively communicating decisions and actions to co-workers and customers is essential.
  • Exceptional project management skills, preferably in software product installations.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in technology consulting, industry-specific enterprise and solutions business application installations, preferably logistics and shipping software.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience with structured deployment approaches and software implementation methodologies.
  • Strong functional and business process knowledge of the logistics and supply chain industry, as well as experience with logistics, transportation and shipping systems.
  • Strong skills in detail-based planning, organization, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize risk and focus resources appropriately.
  • Excellent facilitation, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to communicate information to groups in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven ability to work under time and resource pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential to provide information, including the ability to influence project stakeholders to achieve buy-in to proposals, plans and decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team leader and a self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet installation project objectives is necessary.
  • Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to complete projects per budget and schedule commitments.
  • Excellent working knowledge of collaboration and productivity tools, including email, Microsoft Office applications, Visio and Project.
  • Ability to travel periodically as required for project delivery.
  • Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree, technical background a plus. Project management course certification a plus.
